Vincent Edwin leaves tears in the eyes of his wife's family and friends after killing her with a machete on the 5th of November 2017.
Tragedy occurred in Bayelsa State as a 24-year old man, Vincent Edwin slaughters his wife, Joy with machete. Vincent was arrested by the state police after the news broke out.
According to reports, the incident occurred on sunday, 5th November 2017, at kaiama, a village in the in Kolokama/Opukuma local Government area of Bayelsa state.
The deceased was said to have gone for fishing with her neighbour, Juliet Philip in a nearby river when her husband attacked and macheted her to death.
The motive behind the husbands act has not yet been known. However, the police are currently investigating the matter in other to ascertain the motive behind the barbaric act.
Reacting to the incidence, the police Public Relation Officer(PRO), Asinim Butswat who comfirmed the incidence said, "On November 5th 2017, at about 8.30pm, one Edwin Vincent, a native of Uwheru, in the Ughelli North LGA, Delta State, but residing at Boro Camp, Kaima, in Bayelsa State, attacked and killed his wife, Joy, 21 years old".
"The young man pleaded guilty to the crime and the police are investigating the motive behind the murder". He added.
