Fire Kills Family Of Four In Lagos

Tragedy occured in the early hours of Wednesday as Family of four lost their lifes to fire in lagos state.

The fire incident claimed the lifes of four persons who happens to be members of thesame Family. The fire broke out in the midnight, in a chemist store when everyone was asleep. Men of the Fire Service were contacted and they rushed down to extinguish the fire but were resisted by the buglary irons on the door and windows of the apartment. However, they figured out ways and overcomed the resistance but it was too late as the victims were burnt beyond recognition.

The  Director of Lagos State Fire Service, Rasak Fadipe, who comfirmed the incident said,

"The apartment is a chemist store. The father, mother, and two children of ages five and eight were found dead inside the store.

“We advise that although one needs security in his or her house or business place, it should not be to the detriment of the people.

“Members of the family should always know the exist of their apartment whenever there is an emergency,” he said.

The cause of the fire has not yet been ascertained.
