Zimbabwe's President, Robert Mugabe sacked his vice from office after been accused of disloyalty, disrespect, deceit and unreliability.
The information minister, Simon khaya Moyo disclosed the development to reporters on monday in a press conference.
The battle to succeed the aging president has reached a crescendo.
However, the first lady had openly called for the dismissal of vice president, Emmerson Mnangawa.
Describing Mrs Mugabe's call,
Conflicting reports has it that she did so because of her desire to take over the office of the vice president while other report claims that the first lady did so in other to strengthen the party because Mnangawa was dividing the party.
Furthermore, the alleged move to appoint Mrs Mugabe as vice president has been criticised by many.
