The Lagos State Police Command has declared Burna Boy wanted after robbers confessed he hired them to rob Mr 2kay at Eko Hotel in Lagos State.
Nigeria artiste, Mr 2kay was robbed few weeks ago by unknown gunmen in Lagos state. Investigations lead to the arrest of the robbers. When interogated by the Police, they confessed that Burna Boy hired them through his manager, Joel Kantiock.
In a press briefing, the State Commissioner of Police, Edgal Inohimi said, "Four armed robbers carried out the attack and detectives were able to arrest one of their girlfriends who is identified as 'Matejero' which led to the capture of the others.
"They confessed to receiving a part payment of N50,000 before the job and another N50,000 was paid to the robbers directly by BurnaBoy when the job was done.
"At the moment, efforts to apprehend Burna Boy is proving futile but we count on him to make himself available for questioning immediately."
