A civil servant, Abdullahi Uye Zhiya, ended his life in kogi state.
The deceased is 46-years old, he hails from oguma community in Bassa Local Government of Kogi State. Mr Abdullahi intensionlly took some dose of poison and that lead to his death.
Family members gave conflicting reasons behind his act. A member of his family attributed his act to unpaid salaries in the state and economic challenges while another member said he was faced with challenges which he failed to disclose.
However, civil servants in the state has not been paid for over 6months and that may be the reason behind his act. Last month similar incidence also occurred in Kogi state.
