Just like a striking thunder, the date April 11th is an echo of a deep memory in university of portharcourt.
 Precisely April 11th, 2016 was tagged black monday to commensurate a protest for just call of policy change. On this faithful day, little did we know that wild wolves in sheep clothing where ready to devour.
 Despite him been shot, the courage in his eyes was unfailing , even at his lifeless state his eyes still pass on passionate message of hope. Late Comrade Peter Ofurum is a voice, legend, and an icon. Death you have sting so hard and your cold hands has frozen a hero. His death is like the destruction of the great titanic ship. A real selfless gem stolen by the hands of death.
I as an Ogoni Son call him the" Ken Saro Wiwa of uniport unionism",he is a true Mandelite, Martyr of justice.Uniport would never forget you because you are immortalized in our minds.
I hereby call on all student of uniport to celebrate this Gem on this day April 11th,2017 and uphold his legacy of selfless love.  Respect to Peter Ofurum.God Help Us!
